Christians Call for Justice on the Anniversary of Killing of George Floyd

As section of church leaders from Ireland and Britian will call for a justice at a national church service making the first anniversary of the killing of George Floyd on 25 May 2021. The service is scheduled to host senior church leaders and local Christians at the NTCG Brixton community church in south London.

The service is purposed to remember the tragic death of Mr. Floyd as well as challenge churches and communities in Britain to stand up for justice and against racism, ignorance and hated. The death of Floyd has received a global condemnation of racism and as such the church is embarking on a move to express their discontent with injustice.

Dubbed Doing Justice: A National Service of Reflection on the anniversary of the murder of George Floyd, the service features contributions from the Archbishop of York- the Right Reverend Stephen Cotterhill, Pastor Mathew Ashimolow from Kingsway International Christian Centre, Pastor Agu Irukwu of RCGGG’s Jesus House, The Bishop of London – the Rt Reverend Sarah Mullally and others.
