Covid 19: ”Stop Extorting Money From Church Members with Mobile Apps in This Difficult Times’’ – Obotuo Descends Angrily on Ghanaian Pastors
The global pandemic corona virus disease has been a subject of interest around the world dominating major needs headlines. The Disease which emanated from Wuhan china in 2019 has currently taken a wide spread to several parts of the world.
Amidst finding solutions and possible measures to combat the global plague, Prophet Isaac Opoku popularly known as Obotuo has expressed his fury towards the Ghanaian Government and some pastors in the country whom He believed are exploiting church members with mobile phone apps in this moment of distress.
Prophet Isaac Opoku has sounded caution to Ghanaian pastors who at this time of the pandemic corona .virus outbreak are stilling taking offertory from members via mobile money and other banking systems. He is of the view that, church members should be given the peace of mind to channel their resources towards the care of their families in this difficult times. He said ‘’ in every crisis situation, Men of God have a major role to play in bringing a solution. Most renowned Men of God should bow their head down in shame because their priority as leaders of the church is from the perspective of business not the wellbeing of their congregation. I don’t see the relevance of mobile phone apps in the collection of money from the congregation in such a critical time as this. I advise Church members to use their money in purchasing of hand sanitizers and other preventive materials during this outbreak and stop putting their hopes in Men of God’’
He further advised the government to put measures in place to combat the spread of the disease. He has assured Ghanaians to follow all the precautionary measures by the ministry of Health and also get closer to God in prayer amidst this pandemic virus outbreak.
