H.E. The President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, calls for a Breakfast Prayer Meeting at the Jubilee House Accra, with the heads of the Christian movement in Ghana, calling for God’s intervention to the Corona virus effect in Ghana and the world at large.
On the 19th of March, 2020 four days after the President suspended all religious activities and social gathering in the nation, as part of the measures to reduce the spread of the deadly and infectious coronavirus. Per the Ghana Health Service and the Ministry of Health report, the country has reported nine positive cases and four are said to be recovering. The second purpose of gathering was to seek the support from the heads of the various churches to help reduce the pandemic effect in Ghana though the recorded cases are very low.
The Men and Women of God seen at the Breakfast Prayer Meeting with the President were: Archbishop Bishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams Leader and Founder of the Action Chapel International – Bishop Dad Howard Mills founder and Leader of Light House, Apostle Sam Korankye Ankrah founder and Leader of the Royal House Chapel – Bishop Charles Agyinasare Founder and Leader of Perez Chapel International – Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye Chairman of the Pentecost Church, Ghana – Rev. Joseph Eastwood Anaba Founder and Leader of the Fountain Gate Chapel- In brief The Methodist, Anglican, Catholic and other Charismatic clergy where present.
After the Prayers which includes Protection over the Nation, All Health Workers, The President, Victims and many more; the President emphasized on the need to collaborate with the government on the measures to in place to reduce the spread of the Corona virus. Finally he assured Ghanaians with the comfort of the Lord, trusting for a speedily solution.
