ABOUT CURTIS AHENKAN
Curtis Ahenkan is an elder of the Church of Pentecost and worships with the Abrepo English Assembly in Kumasi. He is a teacher by profession and a graphic designer by extension who loves to train young people to become both spiritually and physically independent. He is the pioneer of Tonic for righteous living and Capsules of reality online Word series.
Curtis was born and bred at Nsuta-Atonsu near Asante Mampong, some 37 years ago to Elder Mike K. Asante Adow and Deaconess Mrs. Dinah Amponsah Adow, both retired educationists. He’s the eldest of 5 surviving siblings. He was born into a musical family and picked up singing habit from his mom whiles dad taught him to play the guitar.
Curtis developed a keen interest in music at a very tender age when his dad used to make him play sticks to keep time while recording his compositions on a tape recorder with his guitar. While in SHS, he joined the S.U. choir known as Chosen Generation and played in a band with some school mates. It was around this time that he wrote his first songs, in 1998. These experiences would shape him into a full musical force in his years in the training college as well as in the University.
Ahenkan started full-time music ministry in the early 2000s, ministering in schools and colleges. It was around this time that he recorded his first songs in the studio. It was however not until 2012 that he managed to release his first single video titled, ‘’M’agyenkwa pa’’.
Curtis is set launch his maiden full album entitled, More Than Wealthy, in October, 2019. It is off this album that he has released his new single entitled ‘’EXTRAVAGANT PRAISE’’
