Award-winning Gospel minstrel, Diana Hamilton has shared the inspiration behind her latest single “My Meditations”.
The new gospel track was released on October 14 2022 and is available on all music streaming platforms.
In a media tour to promote her latest single, the gospel songstress has revealed in a series of media interviews, that her latest song reflects a true story of when she went through some down moments in the early part of 2021 ahead of winning the ultimate awards for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and Ghana Music Awards U.K that same year.
Sharing with 3 extra of TV3 Ghana about the story behind ‘My Meditations’, the three-time gospel artist of the year disclosed that she was unwell, scared, with things running through her mind, and feared the unknown but the Lord came in and healed her.
“Early part of last year, I felt really unwell, I was scared… scared, scared, scared, with things running through my mind, fear of the unknown, and within a twinkle of an eye the Lord stepped through, stepped in, and healed me”, she said.
The decorated gospel singer further stated how she was short for words in the turn of events when she was later asked by the doctor to go home amidst living in the state of the unknown of her ill health.
“I was asked to go home after staying in the hospital for days without knowing what was wrong, at that instant I was short of words, short of words didn’t know what to say, that’s when my meditation came in, that may the Lord accept the meditations of my heart because words fail me” she added.
Diana Hamilton, one of Ghana’s influential exports when it comes to music has satisfactorily received massive airplay with her popular songs including ‘Mo ne yo’, ‘Awurade ye’, ‘Yehowa b3 hw3’ and ‘Adom’, with ‘My Meditations’ also making waves, may our hearts do the talking to the glory of God when we are short of words as it is inspired in the song.
