Ghanaian Gospel Musician, KODA Laid to Rest
It was a sad day for the Ghanaian Gospel music fraternity as they bid farewell to one of their beloved colleague Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, popularly known as KODA.
The renowned gospel artist and music producer was laid to rest following an emotional funeral service attended by family, friends, and colleagues in the gospel music industry.
The solemn all – white funeral held at the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) Dominion Centre, Spintex Road, Accra was filled with touching tributes and heartfelt eulogies.
Notable gospel musicians and industry figures including, Joe Mettle, Sonnie Badu, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Eugene Zuta, Nii Okine, Diana Hamilton, Akesse Brempong, Uncle Ato, Ceccy Twum, Elder Mireku among others were present to pay their last respect and bid farewell to their colleague.
KODA, whose music touched the hearts of many, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the age of 45, leaving an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his fans and fellow musicians.
However, his music legacy including hits like “Nsempii”, “Nkwa Abodoo”, “Yapai” and “Adorso”. will continue to resonate with fans, serving as a lasting reminder of his talent and devotion to his faith.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
