Award winning music group Maverick City and 16 time Grammy Winner Kirk Franklin will bring the injustices around mass incarceration and the voices of 1300 inmates to centre stage with the release of their collaborative album KINGDOM BOOK 1 out on June 17th Via Tribl Records/ FO YO Soul Entertainment/ RCA Inspiration.
Taking the idea of prison performance to the next level, the 11 track project was made from the grounds of a Florida prison featuring Maverick City and Kirk Franklin recording the experience alongside more than ninety five percent of the inmates. Kirk Franklin and Maverick City will be embark on a tour starting from June 1 in Miami till the end of July as part of plans to promote the ”KINGDOM BOOK 1” album.
