
”My Prison Project is To Show Love to inmates, They are not Outcasts”- Doreen Okyere
Ghanaian fast-rising gospel musician Doreen Okyere disclosed that prisoners are not waste so people should not neglect them. In an exclusive interview with Nana Kwame Gyan on No.1 showbiz at No.1 FM, Doreen Okyere stated that prisoners need our support and care, not all of them are criminals so they shouldn’t be considered as waste to society.
She further reiterated that, most people neglect and tag prisoners as criminals but the reality is that, most of them are innocent and others also deeply regret their wrongdoings which shows that, they need the word of God to keep them in shape. She used Joseph in the bible as a victim to set an example.
Doreen Okyere is a Ghanaian gospel musician who discovered her musical talent at the age of 13 as a chorister and polished it along the line in the church choir to become a full-time musician. Doree Okyere is also an entrepreneur with an HND qualification. She now has a prison ministry foundation to her advantage.
Again, she said most people pay much attention to the orphanage homes which is good but it too much and that the prisons also need help and support.
