[Press Release] Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah’s Church Makes an Official Statement After His arrest

The leadership of Glorious Word Power Ministries head by Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah has released an official press statement after his arrest on 12th September 2021. Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah and four pastors have been charged with threat of death, assault of public officers and breach of peace.

An Accra circuit court presided over by Judge Afia Owusuaa Appiah on Monday 13th September 2021 denied Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah and four others bail. According to the court that have been charged with offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace, the threat of death and assault to public officers and were expected to remain in police custody and reappear before the court on September 20th 2021 for hearing.

The Church of Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah has released an official statement to give clarity to the happenings leading to the arrest of their head pastor and four others. In the viral press statement dated 14th September 2021, Glorious Word Power Ministries that there was altercation outside of the church premises on Sunday 12th September during a regular church service that got one of their junior pastors manhandled and arrested by some unidentified men.

The manner of arrest generated into a scuffle that attracted people in the neighbourhood and church unto the scene. Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah’s attention was drawn to the scuffle hence he halted his ministration and moved out to the scene to get details of what was happening. Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah immediately followed up after He was informed that his junior pastor has been arrested to the Greater Accra regional police command. Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah upon arrival was detained around 1:30pm for further investigations.
