Head Pastor of Rock Hill church, Atlanta Dr. Sonnie Badu has expressed his discomfort in the scuffle between Stonebwoy and shatta wale which distorted the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Sonnie Badu earlier on today in an instagram, has cautioned the two dance hall artiste to reunite in order to promote peace and Ghanaian music despite their personal vendetta.
He said ” When davidoofficial and wizkidayo had their issues the elders sat them down and resolved it. They made them understand Nigeria Music must move forward and Today, they are buddies again … Fans will always play a part in who is better but once you’re united, those head crushers will disappear.
In this light as an African/Ghanaian Musician, I reached out to one of them (stonebwoyb shattawalenima) and asked one question, do you want to unite? He said yes, I am still trying to get through to the other … Now since you 2 have been stripped off your hard work; which I seem not to still understand, you can unite and start your tour together because both of you are record holders and record breakers. Unite the youth and lift up the flag of GHANA … you 2 are winners, you 2 Have proven to the world that you know What dancehall is, you 2 are kings”.
The two artiste have however been given a court fine of 50,000 Ghana cedis as well as stripping them off their awards at the VGMA.
