Pastor Nana Yaw Boakye popularly known as MOG music a renowned Ghana worshiper has voiced out his concern for the backlash given to secular artiste by the Christian fraternity. MOG music at the official launch of his incoming music concert dubbed ‘’New wine’’ attributed this unfortunate situation to Lack of Love.
MOG music who was once backlashed for collaborating with Ghana’s Rap king Sarkodie, said ‘’ There is a place for the secular artiste in the church, there is a place of love fellowship, there is a place of covering and protection. If we the church preach about love and say we know love, the secular artistes are also preaching about love through their songs. If we accept them in the church and they listen to the word of God continually, it will inform their writing and production of songs’’
MOG who suffered a backlash from the Christian fraternity for recording with Ghana’s rap king sarkodie however reiterated that, He won’t feel reluctant to do another recording with a secular artiste if the opportunity comes.
MOG music is currently making plans for the 5th edition of his yearly concert dubbed ‘New wine’’. The event which is slated for March will host renowned worshipers in the persons of Michael Stuckey, Prospa Ochimana, Preye Odede, and Ceccy Twum. Speaking at the press launch, MOG however assured Ghanaians to be expectant of surprise acts on the night of the event. ‘’New wine’’ is scheduled to come off at the newly constructed church auditorium of Royal house chapel in Accra.
