URBAN GOSPEL ARTISTE TEE JAY HAS DISCLOSED HIS DISAPPOINTMENT FOR THE LACK OF SUPPORT IN THE GOSPEL MUSIC INDUSTRY.
Urban gospel artiste Twumasi George popularly known as Tee Jay has expressed his disappointed in the Ghanaian gospel industry for the lack of support for Up and Coming gospel artiste. Tee Jay is of the view that, most young people with talents are gradually giving up on themselves due to the difficulty in getting their songs out to the public.
In an interview on Precious TV on 13th March 2019, Tee Jay disclosed that, measures must be adopted by the government to support the creative art industry He said,
” Ghanaian gospel music is fast growing with lot of changes emerging from Better video quality, excellent sound etc. All this require huge investment of money which often times become a burden to gospel artiste. I think there should be an establishment of a bigger record label that can nurture and groom talents to bring out the best in them”
As manager and host of the Gospel entertainment show called Starz Tv, Tee Jay has lot of experience and exposure to some of the challenges most artiste face by contact in his interviews. He is therefore appealing to the government to to support the creative art industry so that most young people can pursue their musical career.
BRIEF ABOUT TEE JAY
The multi talented urban gospel artiste is a TV Host, video director, Bass player, as well as an HND holder in marketing .
He developed interest in Music at the age of ten when He joined his church choir and also learned how to play the bass guitar. His first single was released in 2015 titled “Chineke” which was an inspiration to the gospel circles.
Tee Jay is currently out with his 2019 debut single “Testimony” which has started making waves on TV and radio.
