Empress Gifty, Award Winning & Gospel Artiste of the year at the National Gospel Music Award’18, launched her concert, The Resurrection Effect Concert (TREC) 2020 Edition which is the second with the theme ’THE BLOOD THAT SPEAKS LIFE’ at the MJ Grand Hotel, East Legon on the 4th of March, 2020.
The ‘Jesus Over Do’ hitmaker and Wife of Hon. Hopeson Adorye, launched this year’s edition of TREC project under the Empress Gifty Ministries and unveils the Official design for the Concert. The dignitaries who chaired the launch were Rev. Thomas Yawson, Chief of the Ibo community based in Ghana, HRM Chukwudi Ihenetu and MOG. Speaking to the press, Empress Gifty discloses plans towards the concert and what the nation should be expecting.
“ Thank you so much to each and everyone here to support our TREC’ 2020 Press Launch By. Last year, we recorded over hundreds of people and to the Glory of God, there was an encounter with the Lord through this concert” Empress Gifty said. TREC is an Annual Concert which is going to be held on every Easter Monday. Due to the fact that, Easter Monday happens to be a day to celebrate the Risen of Jesus Christ, but instead most people forget about its purpose and celebrate otherwise which ends mostly in tragedies.
Therefore, TREC has come to stay and to draw people to God. Most importantly, have an Encounter with the Lord which brings us to the date for this year’s program and that is on the 13th of April 2020.
She further went to talk about the invited guest Acts, Local and International who would come together to make an impact in the lives of people. From Ghana,Rev. Yawson, MOG and some surprise up and coming acts; from the USA, Herty Corgie and Zaza Mokhethi from South Africa. Last year there were some secular acts from Tema who passed through to support. I can’t tell for this year but we have a surprise coming up it’s going to be ‘#Bloody‘.
Empress finally said “ Strategical TREC is planned on every Easter Monday because most beach celebrations records death or a relation getting lost; we have organized this concert to draw people to God, keep families sound and most of it all have an encounter with the Lord. Answering a question about the inviting and supporting up and coming acts she said, her ministry is open to support each and everyone but the up and coming should be humble in all they do and will take them far. Rev. Yawson added that, the up and coming acts should always seek to learn from the main stream acts because there are a lot to be learnt from them. Finally there are work shops to build the industry so all up and coming artistes should try and be part of this.
The launch ended by cutting of cake after the main design was unveiled. After the program some Gospel musicians who were around to support Empress were; Tagoe Sister, Ohemaa Mercy, Abena Serwaa Ophilia, Abena Ruthy, OB Nartey and many more.
